No. Stern offers you a web-based trading platform which means that you can log in to your account and trade on any device with access to an Internet connection, without any software installation-related headaches.

What is an Underlying Asset?
A commodity, index, stock, currency pair or any other financial asset that constitutes the basis for creating an online trade. Its price movement’s direction is what you are required to correctly predict in order to profit from online trading.
What is the maximum investment amount?
It is 2500 USD/GBP/EUR/AUD. The number is flexible though and can be altered for VIP accounts.
What is the minimum deposit amount?
The minimum deposit is 250 USD/EUR/GBP/AUD.
What is the maximum deposit amount?
It depends on the deposit method:

- Wire – Unlimited

Is there a minimum withdrawal amount?

What is a Swift Code?
A SWIFT code is the unique identification code of a particular bank that is used when transferring money between banks. Your bank can tell you what your SWIFT code is. If the SWIFT code comprises only eight digits, you will have to add XXX at the end of it.
Can I cancel a withdrawal? How so?
Of course! Even while your withdrawal request is being processed, you can still cancel the transaction and return the money to your account. The withdrawal cancellation opportunity is especially useful when you do not have sufficient funds in your account, but you wish to continue trading. You can cancel your withdrawal by simply contacting us by phone or email.
You can fund your account via wire transfer for amounts above USD 500. Please note that a commission of USD20 will be levied. Please make sure that the wire transfer details are exactly the same as the ones you are presented within the deposit page, in the “Wire Transfer” tab, to make sure that your money reaches the proper destination. Once you have made the wire transfer, please email a copy of the wire transfer to your account executive. It may take up to 5 business days for the funds to appear in your Sternmarkets account.

Which payment methods can I use?
In order to deposit, you can use your credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard and Maestro), a wire transfer and some alternative payment methods (such as Skrill and more). You will be presented with the chance to select your preferred payment method during the deposit process.
What are the procedures for deposits and withdrawals?
Stern markets needs to verify your identity before we can activate your account and allow you to withdraw funds and profits from it. In order to verify your account, we kindly ask you to provide us with the following documentation, by sending it to email@example.com:
1. A copy of both sides of the credit card(s) you used to deposit funds in your Account. Please note: for your own protection, we strongly advise you to cover all the digits of your credit card number, leaving only the last four visible.
2. A copy of an official utility bill or bank statement in your name that is not older than 3 months and that was sent to you at your current address, which should match the address from your application.
3. A copy of either your driving license or your passport.
These measures are taken to obtain proof of identity, residence, and ownership of the card(s), in compliance with credit card companies’ requirements and international regulations as well.
What are CFDs?
“CFD” stands for Contract for Difference. With this type of trading you do not actually need to buy or own a specific asset. When entering a Contract for Difference you speculate on the movement of an asset price and can profit from an increase or a decrease, depending on the type of trade you chose.
What is a “Long Trade”?
When trading in CFDs you can enter into one of two contract types. Opening a “Long” position, or a “Buy” position, means you will be profiting from a rise in value.
What is a “Short Trade”?
This is the second type of CFD, which you will enter, if you expect the value of the asset to go down. When opening a “Short” or “Sell” positon you will make profit on a decrease in value once you close the position.
How can I make a trade?
Once you have deposited funds you can open either a “Buy” or a “Sell” position, depending on whether you think the value of your chosen asset will increase or decrease. You should then follow up on the price development, so you can pick the best time to close the trade.
What are the rates displayed in the trading boxes?
Rates are the quoted prices of the underlying assets. The rate is the price offered by Stern and it is based on live feeds. Please be aware that the rates offered by Stern are not always reflective of exact market prices. These are the prices at which Stern is willing to sell the trades.
Why am I unable to make a trade?
Unsuccessful trades are usually a result of insufficient funds available in your account, or if you are attempting to trade on an underlying asset outside of market trading hours.
